Automotive Technician
Big Rock Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram (2016) LTD is a dealership in Hinton Alberta, with an absolutely breath-taking view of the Rocky Mountains! We are looking for a dedicated, motivated hard working Red Seal Journeyman Automotive Service Technician to become part of our great team. The ideal candidate would be a Chrysler trained Journeyman or 3rd or 4th apprentice, with at least level 2 FCA training. Someone who is dedicated to quality workmanship and customer satisfaction. We offer compensation up to $50.00 per flat rate hour depending on experience, "plus" that's right we said PLUS up to $5.00 per flat rate hour performance bonus. Looking for a change? Check us out!!!!
The following are some of the position requirements but are not limited to;
- Competently diagnose & repair: Diesel Engines, Power train, Electrical, and Suspension.
- Perform all levels of preventive maintenance services
- Examine the vehicle to determine if additional safety or service work is required
- Identify warrantable repairs and work with Service Advisors to form a resolution
- Use electronic work order system (basic computer skills)
- Repair and maintain facility and property as required. Keep work environment clean and tidy
Applicant Requirements:
- Possess strong diagnostic and problem solving skills
- Ability to read and understand various schematic diagrams for maintenance troubleshooting and be proficient with computers and diagnostic tools.
- Have well-developed communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work with other members of the Service Department team
- Must be punctual, self-motivated and be able to work independently or in a team environment
- Ability to handle a fast paced work environment, and at times pick up a job where another left off
- Willingness to follow set procedures and guidelines
- Possess a valid driver's license and provide a satisfactory Driver's Abstract upon request
- Inter-provincial Certification would be considered an asset
